PORTO AZURRO:
Porto Longone was its name until 1945 due to the length of the inlet from which it was born; after the war, with the loss of the Capoliveri territory at the beginning of the century, it took the name of Porto Azzurro. Strong points of interest are: Forte S. Giacomo, Forte Focardo, Laghetto di Terranera, Wreck of Punta Cera and the Sanctuary of Monserrato. A great meeting place for residents and young tourists is the particular seafront square with pastel shades, the 2nd largest in Italy, often animated by a variety of events and attractions. Another peculiarity are the streets of the historic center, full of shops, craft stalls, restaurants, pubs and lounge bars. The main beaches it offers are: Barbarossa, Reale, Terranera, Mola (Dog-Beach), La Pianotta and La Rossa.
